WSC Boys Silver Championship

(March 16, 2018)

Teams: Downers Grove North, Glenbard West, Hinsdale, Lyons Township, Oak Park and River Forest, Proviso West, York

Buses: The entrance to York is a horseshoe drive. Teams will disembark on the East Side in front of the athletic wing. Buses will park in the southwest parking lot.

Admission: $4 Adults, $2 Students/Child

Meet Concessions: Concessions will be provided by York HS

Spikes: We only allow ⅛ inch pyramid spikes. We will have replacement spikes for sale at $2.00 a complete set. We do check for compliance. Dick Pond Outlets have carried these spikes in the past.

In order to get to the restrooms, athletes must exit the field house into the hallway. We ask that all athletes remove their spikes before entering the hallway.

Team Areas:  To reserve space for spectators, team camps will be assigned in the field house outside the track

The entry deadline is Wednesday March 16th at noon.

Results: Results will be posted along the southwest wall by the start of the 55m dash and the Northwest wall by the long jump pit.  Final results will be posted at www.LakeshoreAthleticServices.com

Awards:  Awards will be distributed at the conclusion of the meet.  A plaque will awarded to the winning varsity team.

Schedule: Field events will start at 5:00pm. Sophomore Long Jump will use the East/West runway, Varsity on the North South runway.  The top 9 athletes will be advance to the final. The triple jump will run after the conclusion of the long jump using the same protocol.

The shot put will have 3 throws with 9 participants advancing to the finals. Implements will be weighed prior to competition.

High jump and Pole Vault will run to completion.  Starting heights will be determined at the seed meeting.

The use of prelims will be discussed at the meeting
